For some reason I awoke this morning singing:
Weeeeeeell,
Lambs eat oats
and does eat oats
and little lambs eat ivy
a kid'll eat ivy too
a kid'll eat ivy too
wouldn't you?
Anybody know this song, or why in the name of Mr. Rogers I would wake up singing this little ditty?

Sorry, Seth. I have no idea what you're talking about. Have you seen this?
Seek help, man. Seriously. I'm worried about you.
I KNOW THAT SONG! Mairzy Doats.
I was totally singing along. :)
Thanks for the flash back to my five year old self.
Hey Becky - I sing it "Marizy Doats" too!!! When I was a toddler, my mom would sing a repertoire of songs (mostly songs from the '40s) and this was one of them. Apparently - if she sang the songs out of order - I would come out of my twilight sleep and chastise her. Some of the other ones were "Lavender Blue", "A Bicycle Built for Two", "K-K-K-Katie." Great - now I'll be singing these all day, dadgummit.
Know it? I had it as a bonus question on a test in college anatomy lab! The TA was a musician on the side, and he threw this out on us.
Why you would wake up singing it, I don't know. But I do know why it will be running through my head for hours now.

ADD? That's my only guess, if you were seriously asking. It seems rather random to me.
Not a bad thing to wake up to overall. It sure beats waking up all stressed out about work, finances, a lawsuit, family problems or the death of someone near and dear.

Ha! I'm glad to know I'm not the only looney tune in the bunch.
Sure! It is about the only song my mother can sing on key.
Lol!! Hmmm, sorry Seth, but hope you enjoyed it with a smile on your face! :-)He gives us songs at night and even in the morning!
