Most Shameful

Air Supply. All out of love baby. Thats right. "Makin' looooove outta nothin' at all. (makin' love) outta nothin at all (makin' loove ahhhhhh)"

I used to sing this at the top of my everliving lungs as a young 9 year old and I still do to my wife every time I hear it at the grocery store.

Everybody's got them. Whats yours. I have another. Much, much more shameful. I tell you as soon as I hear some fessing up.

I have the Air Supply Greatest Hits. When I was younger, I put it on side a of a tape, and on side b I put Christopher Cross. I called it my comatose tape and used it to lull me to sleep when sleep wouldn't come.

But, to be honest, I sang that song at the top of my lungs as a kid, too.

My really shameful childhood purchase: Tiffany.

Starship - "Sarah"

In second grade I had a huge crush in this girl named Angie. I used to sing this song at the top of my lungs in my room and replace "Sarah" with "Angie".

Shameful tune stuck in my head:

"Missing You" by John Waite

I heard that the other day, and I've been singing it over and over.

Really shameful are the Digital Underground lyrics ("Humpty Dance" and "Freaks of the Industry" for example) that come back to me occasionally from my college days when nasty lyrics didn't bother me so much. Yikes. Confession: If it weren't for the lyrics, I'd still love to listen to those songs.

I LOVED that Air Supply Greatest Hits album!! It was one of the first tapes that I bought for my first boom box. I long ago lost the tape, but I can still sing along with those songs. Memories...

Euphrony, Vitamin, Susanne...

I am thankful for your honesty.

The rest of you, and you know who you are, are big cluckomatic chickens.

btw, nice to meet you Vitamin, thanks for dropping by. Sarah is classic.

Well... just being honest here... I do sing along and smile whenever Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" comes on. Also... again, just being honest... Peter Cetera's "Glory of Love."

Whew. I feel much better having gotten that off my chest.

Ever notice Mark Schultz sounds a LOT like Air Supply?

Yes I most certainly have.
