Any Suggestions?

I woke up this morning feeling dizzy. All day long at different times I have felt dizzy. I haven't been banged in the head with anything, that I know of... and I don't feel nauseated or have a headache. The dizziness has no other related symptoms. It comes mostly when I turn my head to check something or if I am leaning to the side a bit.

Oh, and no, I haven't been smoking pot.

Anyone experienced this???

Are you saying there was no secondhand smoke at the concert you went to?

When I have experienced dizziness, it has usually been a result of dehydration and standing up suddenly. You might want to visit a doctor, especially if this continues.

Generally speaking, what you are describing is called vertigo. That's not a disease, just a description of the general condition.

I've had brief episodes of this at various times, and it rarely lasted for more than a few days. Is it possible that you have some sort of inner ear thing happening? I think that's the most common cause in the acute version.

I would agree with MB -- if it lasts for more than a few days, is worsening in severity, or if you notice any other symptoms that accompany it, especially something like numbness or tingling in the extremities (you say that you aren't experiencing additional symptoms thus far), then get medical attention.

It was spooky for me the first time I had this. I immediately thought the worst, that it was something like a brain tumor. But more serious underlying conditions are rare, and it's likely to pass in a few days or less.

Thanks fellas. I think it has passed. I just read that when you get older, you body looses some of its hearing and this can cause some dizziness.

So basically, I just had a old man dizzy spell.

Wonderful.

Where is Cortez when I need him.

glad you feel better...

Our friend just went through this, and it would go on and off. They gave him some medicine, it was vertigo like chaotic hammer said.

I can't believe we're getting old. I think I have arthritis in one of my knees. I'm gonna have to get the doc to give me something for it soon because my almost 2-year-old sure does run fast!!
