Science Trivia!

This could be very tricky or very simple.

Either way, you may NOT use the internet for help. That's cheating, and zero fun!

Here tis'

My ghetto ass.

Nay, but all other theories of this nature are welcome and encouraged as well.

My pectorals beat your ass by long-shot.

Based upon the latest research here at NASA, I believe the current findings on this matter are somewhat unexpected. The solar system actually contains a continuous rigid outer shell, in which all of the heavenly bodies float around in a semi-random order, yet demonstrating pockets of order based upon the various forces acting upon them. Yes, perhaps you have already guessed it, the solar system is one giant snow globe. Therefore, my answer is -- a snow globe.

I'm gonna say the Sun, but that seems too obvious, so I'm probably wrong. I think the Oort cloud has more mass, but it's really a GROUP of things, not a single thing.

"Biggest" in size or "biggest" in mass?

Seth Ward said...

Majorsteve, Biggest in size!

Aaron, that is incredibly fascinating!

So, when you say rigid, do you mean as in some kind of solid?

Now, about those NASA tapes with the unidentified flying objects floating around on the screen... ... ...

The sun.

The nemesis star ;)

No, seriously I'd have to say that the biggest thing in our solar system is the area encompassed by the orbital path of the planet farthest from the sun.

I too was thinking the sun, until you said "biggest in size". I guess I'll have to go with EM and say the Oort cloud.

Oort is not a single thing or object, right?
