In Honor of The Discussion On Catholicism at FancyPants'

I give you Homer and the Catholic Church (pt 1) Btw, some of this is a little irreverent to both Catholic and Protestant, but sometimes there are some truths in things we think are irreverent. That being said, the only thing I don't care for is the last 15 seconds of clip 2. Rest is dang funny.

(Part 2.) Gems of gold in here people. Gems of gold.

Agreed -- funny as heck.

The Simpsons are kind of like that anyway -- full of adult humor and sophisticated references, but hidden from most people who think it's just a silly cartoon. It's almost like using animation as a front to hide subversive messages or something. But they're not "subversive" as in evil or conspiracy, just general humor and commentary on various subjects.

Certain other cartoons are similar -- Futurama and South Park come to mind (though many people can't get past the vulgarity of South Park to see the very funny underlying messages and humor).
