You gotta love the times we live in, now, you don't have to waste precious time putting BOTH mayonaise AND bacon on your sandwich.... (plus you get the added feature of actually listening to your arteries clog while you eat...)
Good times, good times...
btw... just wanted to say for the record I'm not a "pompous Christian that cannot seem to embrace an artist outside of the fold of Nashville's baptized and sanctified industry"... It's just funny to think that anyone could think that of me (considering the kind of music we like), but I realize that my comments about U2 could've come across like that's where I was coming from...
First of all, this is disgusting. Second of all, I definitely remember our conversation and if your up for it im in! But do you still think its a viable option? I am about a year and a half from submitting my dissertation, but i have a two-year residency requirement that is finished this spring meaning if need be I can finish up wherever (Although i would prefer to finish up here). At any rate send me an email (stephenpresley at hotmail) and let me know your thoughts.
Hey Seth, no worries man... You weren't being any more snarky than I was, in retrospect, I should have just kept my mouth shut on the whole U2 thing, cuz I ended up just coming across totally wrong anyway...
That's funny about the wine though. Like maybe six months ago, I'd had one too many Heinekens one night, and left like this massive comment on some guy's blog, just being a complete a**...
Anyway, hopefully Brant Hansen doesn't think I'm a complete donkey's hindquarters now, cuz his blog is one of my favorites. If we're ever in NYC, we'll absolutely take you up on the dinner offer, my only stipulation is that we go somewhere that serves Baconaise...
