Creation is dauntingly complex and it scares us. Without considerable deliberate effort, we will chose safety over truth every time.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12953251818466792517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23306308.post-69776102034290646962007-07-03T20:31:00.000-07:002007-07-03T20:31:00.000-07:00True, a fear of being extreme can also lead right ...True, a fear of being extreme can also lead right to the doors to the unitarian church. My heart was in the right place, in the sense that I really was hearing from God and learning new and exciting things about the Truth. But it took me some time to learn that not every single lesson that I'm being taught by the Holy Spirit about my own relationship with Him is automatically applicable to everyone else right at that moment. We all learn and grow at different rates, and have completely different personal experiences that lead us to where we are.

Letting go of trying to make everyone conform to my own ideas is a great freedom, but then there's a danger of going too far the other way too -- maybe God is moving me to speak and teach and influence those around me, and I hold back thinking that nobody cares what I have to say. But when it's really from the Lord, and not of my own making, it's not my job to make it bear fruit anyway -- just to obey Him and let the chips fall where they may.Chaotic Hammerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17713799579650424883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23306308.post-56710484717319693632007-06-30T16:44:00.000-07:002007-06-30T16:44:00.000-07:00Dear Seth,Nice post.Even if it was long.S: "Jesus ...Dear Seth,

Nice post.

Even if it was long.

S: "Jesus never meant for us to actually “Hate” in the sense of “despise” our mother and father if they disagree with us."

MB: Totally agree, though I admit to having trouble understanding what it *does* mean, and honestly don't spend too much time trying to figure out how to correctly hate my parents. Hopefully, one of these days it will click for me in more than a superficial way. Until then, it is one of those "hard verses" for me.

MBDouglashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16064119946449926285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23306308.post-79948852592494779432007-06-30T00:25:00.000-07:002007-06-30T00:25:00.000-07:00Dear Seth,That was really long.Love,SethDear Seth,

That was really long.

Love,

SethSeth Wardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02027729307468958273noreply@blogger.com
